Statement by NSC Spokesperson Adrienne Watson on the Terrorist Attack on Pakistan Mosque

The United States strongly condemns the terrorist attack on a mosque in Peshawar, Pakistan with reports today that the death toll has now risen to 100 people. This is tragic and heartbreaking news, and we extend our deep condolences to the loved ones of those who have lost their lives. Terrorism is indefensible, and to target worshippers is unconscionable. The United States stands ready to provide support to Pakistan in its efforts to recover and rebuild. ### Official news published at https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2023/01/31/statement-by-nsc-spokesperson-adrienne-watson-on-the-terrorist-attack-on-pakistan-mosque/

Statement from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Minnesota Protecting Reproductive Health

Today, with Governor Tim Walz’s signature, Minnesota has codified the protections of Roe into law, the first state legislature to do so in 2023. Americans overwhelmingly support a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions, as so clearly demonstrated last fall when voters turned out to defend access to abortion –  including for ballot initiatives in California, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Montana, and Vermont. While Congressional Republicans continue their support for extreme policies including a national abortion ban, the President and Vice President are calling on Congress to restore the protections of Roe in federal law. Until then, the Biden-Harris Administration…
