Readout of National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s Meeting with Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met with Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan of Singapore at the White House on June 20, 2023. They reflected on the enduring strength of the U.S.-Singapore Strategic Partnership and reviewed opportunities to deepen cooperation, including through the U.S.-Singapore Climate Partnership. They discussed establishing a bilateral dialogue regarding critical and emerging technologies, and tasked their respective senior officials with expeditious follow-up. Mr. Sullivan and Dr. Balakrishnan also discussed a wide range of regional and global issues, including regional cybersecurity challenges.
