The Outlook It is good to be back at the Economic Club of New York to reflect on the U.S. outlook. Recent data suggest the current outlook for the U.S. economy is upbeat. From the data alone, it would be hard to find clues that the U.S. economy was in the midst of a protracted global pandemic just two years ago and a war-driven shock to energy and food prices just one year ago.
